Also congratulations to Phil Dunkley and his team for qualifying for the Grand Finals. Finally congratulations to Marc Hargreaves, Simon Brace, Paul Burt and Gavin Calder for beating last years quarter finalists to make it to the Grand Finals. Good fortune in Great Yarmouth!
Interleague
The interleague is a county and national event. Each league within a county competes in a group format. At the end of the county stage the best 2 or 3 teams from each county then compete against one another, in Great Yarmouth, for the title. In Hertfordshire the teams include New Barnet Pool League, Mercury Pool League, East Herts Pool League, St Albans & District Pool League, Riverside Ware & District Pool League and of course BSPL.
The interleague runs on 6 to 8 Sunday's between February and November. All matches will be played at the Riverside Pool Club in Ware (further details below). To enter, all you need to be is a registered member of the English Pool Association (£8 paid at your first match).
League match dates:
23rd May 2010, 6th June 2010, 25th July 2010, 31st October 2010 and 12th December 2010
Matches start at 1pm. We normally meet at a convenient point in Bishop's Stortford about 11-30am and car share to the venue. This allows for an hours practice before the day starts. The day usually consists of 2 matches each of 18 frames and normally draws to a conclusion between 4 and 5pm. With a good squad of players we can certainly cater for late arrivals or early leavers. Each player is allowed to play two frames per match.
If you would like to join Adrian, Tim, Craig, Marc, Simon and the rest of the team then then please contact Paul on 07973 543808 or paul@trub.net to get involved.County / Interleague Venue
Hertfordshire Pool Association voted on the county venue for the next 3 years. It was decided that the county venue would be the Riverside Pool Club in Ware. Run by Neil Toms (professional pool player and England team member). The club has a friendly atmosphere, superb quality tables and is focused on doing what's best for the pool players.
